I shopped this watch for over a year - so naturally I like it. I'll just classify some of its attributes... per my lived experience. The dial color and design are exquisite. Highly recommend.
Excellent: Leather strap (I'm 7.25", that strap won't work for sizes 7.5"+), step up bezel with flat sapphire glass, dial/lume (simple, clean), 10 year warranty - incomparable, Nodex (easy micro adjusting whenever you just want to fool with your watch), Manual wind (wanted for a while... feels like a basic watch -- and frees up the case back to see all the workings), versatility (I have lots of watches... truly the watch I can wear in almost every life event/circumstance), Value
Good: Price (acquired on sale), bracelet (nice looking/easy to size), size (I like classic sizes... may wear a little smaller than 38... so don't get it if you prefer large watch), overall wear experience
Just Ok - Nodex ...(it makes the clasp feel a little bulky... just the price for that awesome convenience), bracelet (not super easy to swap the bracelet into service ... but I have similar challenges with other integrated type quick change bracelets)

Bought two of them! Have been wanting one of these for years and broke down and bought one for my nephew going into army rangers, and decided I’ll by myself one as well. Have loved Smokey ever since I was kid and this watch is a nice as I’ll buy. Fits so well. Packaging was truly a fun experience opening. Two bands and warranty. Thing is so well made… this watch will be a lifer

When I first received the watch, the sandblasted double-lug watch case immediately caught my eye. It was quite stylish, but I fell in love at first sight with its masculine, angular appearance. The size fits perfectly on my 16.5cm wrist, and the soft bracelet wraps comfortably around my wrist, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. The overall build quality is also excellent, with no flaws to be found. Additionally, I was surprised by the relatively short delivery time, considering it was shipped to Korea. The service response from Vero staff was another pleasant surprise; their kindness, detailed explanations, and promptness further solidified my trust in Vero.

The Forest Service becomes my fourth Vero acquisition behind and in order, the Open Water, the Rally, and the Meridian. Needless to say I love the brand, the PNW character, and great warranty.
I really want to love this watch. I like the style, it's clean and understated. And who doesn't love Smokey? But it just doesn't keep time as well as I'd expect. I set it yesterday, to the second, against time.is, and by today the watch was 15 seconds fast. If I don't wear it or wind it for a few days, I'm not surprised if it runs out of juice, or maybe slows a bit, but I have no explanation for why it would run faster.

Keeps accurate time to about 20 seconds per day. I wish, however, that Smokey’s portrait were a bit larger; it’s very difficult to see him (her) on this small watch face.

This is my first watch from Vero even though I've been eyeing their watches since the pole router style LE they released with Worn and Wound back in 2018. This SW-Q (black dial) is AWESOME. It feels well-built and robust, like it's ready to take a beating. It can be hard to tell from the pictures but this watch looks great in person. The textured black dial with applied indices and dauphine hands has a very clean look to it and some may disagree but I feel the lack of a minute track adds a bit of elegance. All in all, this watch feels like a great value and a great addition to any collection.

Just received and this is just amazing. Feels great, quality build and looks amazing. It's that unique color that does not photograph well, therefore pics do not do it justice. Is it turquoise, teal, blue, deep sea, navy? Yes...it is, depending on the lighting. Fit is perfect (I was a bit worried with my larger wrist, but I measured and it's great). Finish is just stunning, especially knowing the specs.
Amazing service, and I had numerous questions, and the support was insanely responsive. So rare in these times to have a company so engaged with their customers.

Well...this is an update on my last review. I contacted the Vero folks, they sent me a UPS ship label, and was sent in. Problem was, it would stop after 4 hours when fully wound. Kaine got on it, found the issue and I had it back in a week. After a week of operation, the watch would exceed its reserve and function perfectly! I stand by my first comment. A well engineered, light weight and accurate piece! BTW, thanx for the great customer service. This is the third Vero watch I've bought. Love em all!

I immediately knew I wanted this watch. I spend a lot of time outdoors and a field watch is the perfect timepiece for my lifestyle. I also own a Seiko Alpinist that is in this price range. I have been wearing this watch for about a week and so far, it has kept near perfect time (less than 30 seconds error). That's amazing for an automatic. I am very pleased. Classic look. Great weight and feel! Extremely pleased!

after less than a month, the watch stopped working. will wind only 4 times then stop. will run only 4 hours then repeat.
Hi Mike, Thanks for your review and bringing your issue to our attention. I'll be reaching out via email to get your watch in for service immediately. It should be able to be wound 20-30 times before it is fully wound, and have a power reserve of up to 41 hours when fully wound.

Very cool, I would have thought this watch just looked kinda playful but it’s also actually really really nice. It LOOKS GOOD ON YOUR WRIST. Then you check out the dial and there’s all nice design parts to look at. So cool. I could wear this as an everyday run around watch or you could actually throw a green button down with it and it’ll look good. The bronze is just unique and beautiful with the leather. My kid also loves looking at the dial and so do I. Unique piece with a reliable movement
